First and foremost, I hope you, your family, and loved ones are staying safe and healthy during this challenging and unprecedented time. I am writing to provide an update on how HollyFrontier is responding to COVID-19 with regard to our operations, employees, contractors and community.Â
We are continuing to safely operate our Cheyenne refinery, and have implemented precautions and preventative measures to keep our refinery environments safe. Last week we limited onsite staff at all our HollyFrontier facilities to essential personnel only. As a result, we are carefully evaluating projects at the refinery, and are currently limiting or postponing non-essential projects and contractor work to protect the health and safety of our workforce. As part of this plan, employees who are able to work from home have been doing so for the past two weeks.
We are prepared to take additional measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, depending on further developments in Laramie County and have the proper business continuity plans in place to support our operations and reduce risk for our employees, customers and community. We are committed to operating the Cheyenne refinery only if we can do so in a safe, reliable and environmentally compliant manner.
Although these are unsettling times, we understand the critical role HollyFrontier plays in supporting not only Cheyenne, but Laramie County as well. We understand the need to support our local workforce and community to the best of our ability and expect to maintain operations. As part of our commitment to our community, we have sent PPE to our local healthcare providers who are of the greatest demand. Â
While it may be too early to know the overall impact the virus may have on our city, I am confident we will stand together as a community. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach me by phone or email at 918-935-7571 or blake.arrington@hollyfrontier.com.
