Korin Schmidt is the Director of the Department of Family Services and has worked for the last 15 years in human service policy and administration. Her passion is serving vulnerable children and families, and she feels fortunate her work allows her to focus on creating positive environments for Wyoming residents.

Rebecca Reid is the current Laramie County Coroner, serving in an Elected Official capacity since January of 2019. Since taking office, Rebecca has expanded outreach of the coroner’s office with the implementation of the Laramie County LOSS Team and Grief Support Group, as well as achieving international accreditation with the IAC&ME (International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners).

Nominees

Elaina was born and raised on a dryland wheat farm in north-central Montana. Her family moved to Wyoming in 2006 when her husband took a position in Kemmerer. She began her career with the Wyoming Business Council in 2007. She has three grown children, four grandchildren and one on the way.

Gina earned a B.S. in Anthropology and a B.A. in English from the University of Wyoming. She works tirelessly to improve habitat and ecological education in the state through the Abandoned Mine Lands Native Plants Project. She supports the health of her community teaching yoga at Lander Yoga & Pilates.

Dr. Linda Thunstrom is an associate professor in economics at the University of Wyoming, where she teaches classes ranging from introductory to graduate level. Her research focuses on the determinants of consumer choices and values, including how they are affected by policies. She has conducted ground breaking research on COVID-19.

Rawlins DDA/Main Street Executive Director since 2006. Pam sits on the Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors and the Board of Trustee for the Carbon County School District 1. WEDA’s 2009 Linda Hewitt Memorial Scholarship for Community Development winner, and 2012 U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) – Small Business Champion.

Sara Serelson, born and raised in Wyoming, has a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and master’s degree in Psychology. Sara is a Child Protection Supervisor for the Department of Family Services. Sara passionately advocates for children and families, and believes in building upon the strengths of every person.
