Broadband stock

CHEYENNE – Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr is looking for a vote of confidence in her plans to improve internet service in the coming weeks.

Tonight, three council members will introduce a resolution asking colleagues to back a report from Orr’s broadband task force recommending the city provide free public wireless internet in an area of downtown and cut the fees companies pay to lay fiber beneath public property, among other things, in hopes of bolstering the city’s broadband market.
