In recent years, Jackson Hole and its surroundings have become home to a surprisingly healthy population of ski and snowboard makers. From craft makers who produce a mere 50 pairs of skis a year to a company looking to scale that to as many as 2,000 pairs in a year, the makers are now feeding the stoke coming into what could be an epic ski season.

As of Halloween, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort had already gathered 41 inches of snow. This year, that is likely to portend a big winter with the Old Farmer’s Almanac predicting that Wyoming will be getting buried in a parade of snowstorms.
