The gap in pay between men and women is a national issue that is amplified in Wyoming. Within the United States, on average, women are paid 81.6 cents for every dollar earned by men. In Wyoming, a generous figure averages out to 71 cents, ranking Wyoming 49th in terms of pay equality, ahead of only Louisiana.

Wyoming companies are coming under increasing pressure to address the vast pay disparity, and are likely unaware of the minimal resources required to self-assess whether a small business is engaged in fair pay practices.
