Small business owners still can thrive in a time of uncertainty as they balance safety and health with keeping their businesses open.

They face some challenges, sure, but there also are opportunities for growth as the economy begins to recover. Their businesses, however, could take five years to get back to 2019 levels, according to a model conducted by McKinsey Global Institute and Oxford Economics, which can seem like a long time, since 45% of new businesses fail in the first five years of operation and 65% in the first 10.
