Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon is partnering with the University of Wyoming School of Energy Resources, the U.S. Department of Energy and Rocky Mountain Power to study the economics behind carbon capture, storage and utilization at two coal-fired power plants in the state.

This economic study represents an effort to prolong the life of plants scheduled for early decommissioning.
