Many dogs will play fetch all day. But when someone finds a lost dog, they don’t want to spend a lot of time fetching the owner.

Wyoming-based startup Lifekey recently rolled out pet tags using its proprietary operating system that allow users to simply tap a pet tag with a smartphone to instantly ping a pet’s owner the location of their animal. The tap also brings up contact details for the owner so the finder doesn’t have to be the keeper for long.
