From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a number of activities for the whole family will be provided by many of the college’s departments, clubs, instructors and staff, including a free lunch, live entertainment and campus tours. Throughout the event, raffles will be held for such prizes as iPods, laptops and digital cameras.
Prior to the afternoon festivities, the LCCC 40th Anniversary 5K Race and 1-mile walk will kick off at the athletic fields at 7:30 a.m. For those interested in registering, the $20 fee will be matched in full by the state of Wyoming and contributed to the LCCC Foundation’s “Matching the Spirit Campaign-Helping Scholarship Grow by 40.” For more information on this event, visit the college’s web site at www.lccc.wy.edu and click on the “40th Anniversary” tab in the dropdown menu.
In conjunction with the 40th Anniversary celebration, the LCCC Golden Eagles’ women’s soccer team will play host to Barton County Community College at 11 a.m. at the soccer fields.
