CollegeInvest will select one winner from each of three age categories: ages 0-6, ages 7-9 and ages 10-12. The response can be in the form of an essay, 250 words or less, or a drawing depicting the answer.
To receive an entry form, go to www.collegeinvestwyoming.org, call 1-800-478-5651 or email your full name and address to lcarleo@collegeinvest.org.
The $3,000 in total winnings will be awarded in the form of CollegeInvest Wyoming 529 college savings plan accounts. Money saved through these college savings plans can be used nationwide at any eligible public or private colleges, universities and vocational schools for qualified higher education expenses such as tuition, fees, certain room, and board and required supplies.
“Explore the new Web site and download an entry form for the scholarship contest,” said Jennifer Robinson of CollegeInvest. “We have provided useful tools for families to save for college and the opportunity to enter to win some college cash. Send in those scholarship entries now; the deadline is March 21.”
CollegeInvest Wyoming is a partnership between CollegeInvest, a not-for-profit division of the Colorado Department of Higher Education, and the Wyoming State Treasurer’s Office. These two organizations have partnered to give Wyoming families preferential fee structures in connection with Colorado's 529 College Savings Program and help them prepare for higher education expenses.
