LARAMIE — The Wyoming P-16 Education Council is seeking nominations to fill four new board director positions, including two for faculty members representing two-year and four-year postsecondary institutions.
The council is a nonprofit organization that helps guide the development of a seamless statewide system of education in which all levels — preschool through postsecondary — work to educate as one system rather than several. The council's goal is to prepare all students to successfully transition into postsecondary study or the workplace.
Council members include University of Wyoming and business sector representatives. The governor, state superintendent of public instruction, Department of Workforce Services and the Wyoming Education Association also name appointees.
Individuals interested in nominating themselves or others can obtain forms found on the council's website at www.wp-16.org
. For more information, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call Kelley Pelissier, council executive director, at 307-340-2431.
