The luxury train experiences will feature four-, eight- and 11-day tours with accommodations on restored 1950s-vintage railcars. Most of the travel happens at night, allowing guests to disembark for day excursions.
An executive chef will prepare meals on board using sustainable and locally-produced ingredients. Each experience will include accommodations, meals, entertainment, off-train transportation and interpretive guides.
The Northwest Explorer, an eight-day trip, will travel between Napa, Calif., and Jackson, Wyo., with stops in Crater Lake National Park, Glacier National Park, Helena, Mont., and Yellowstone and Grand Teton National parks. It also will include a narrated daytime run through the Columbia River Gorge along the Oregon-Washington border.
